DJ Phl Gets The Fur Flying at Chilly Bear!

DJ Phl is one of the established DJs at Chilly Bear and can be seen rocking the place on Saturdays Between 12.00 - 2.00 SLT, along with his host Dani. Here Phl introduces himself and shares with us his love of music.

How long have you been a DJ/host in SL?

I've Been Dj'ing around the grid for about 2 years now at all kinds of clubs from Adult

rated to Moderate i don't play pg places as i'm to lazy to check all my songs for swears

;)

What made you decide to work as a DJ/host in SL?

I got into Dj'ing by accident really, me and a few friends wanted to have a party and

listen to the music we liked so i looked into how to do it and was pretty much self

taught from there.

What makes working at Chilly Bear so enjoyable for you?

The chilly bear has different venues for different types of set (I prefer to use the sky

lounge)  and the people are always welcoming and friendly if your a regular or if its your

1st time there.

Do you work at any other clubs in SL and if so how do they compare with working at

Chilly Bear?

I work at a few clubs all over the grid, I won't list them here but if you really want to

know come to a set and ask (I also do private parties so my schedule can get a little

messy)

What are the most rewarding aspects of working at Chilly Bear?

Being part of an up and coming club and the team here at Chillys

Are there any challenges you have needed to overcome?

Remembering which club I'm at is my biggest challenge XD

What was the first single you bought and why?

Bohemian Rapsody / because its awsome

What was the first album you bought and why?

1st album I bought from a shop was Oxygen Jean Michelle jarred / I just liked the music

and no one I knew had it to make a tape of lol

What song has the most meaningful lyrics for you and why?

Lots of songs have very meaningful lyrics guess it depends on my mood but Shine On You

Crazy Diamond or Wish You Were Here are always tunes I like to hear

What genres of music do you prefer to play or dance to at Chilly Bear?

Rock tunes are my real love, but I play most styles of music

Who has had the greatest influence in shaping your taste in music?

I have a very eclectic taste in music guess I just pick up stuff I like no matter what

it is I have found some great bands and tunes in SL via requests though

What was the best live band/musical performance in RL you attended and why was it so

good?

 Floyd at earls court / you have to ask ???

Are there any RL bands/ performers you would like to see live but haven't?

Yeah loads too many to list lol

Are there any RL disbanded bands/ performers you regret not getting around to seeing

live?

Again loads but Hendrix and Queen (with Freddy) are 2
